Simply hide a drive

    Some times we may in a need of having some private space of storage in a PC. For that, there are number ways that we usually use. Simply hiding folders or using locks with passwords are common ways. We can lock a whole drive or a partition of our hard drive. But here we are going to just mention a simple way to vanish a drive.And you can get it back at any time you want.😉

    So let's make it short and simple,

    First find the "Computer Management" by right clicking "Computer/This PC" -> "Manage".

Then go to "Disk Management" listed under "Storage".

 Then you will get a window like this showing all storage currently connected to the PC. Choose the drive you want to disappear, right click on it and select "Change drive letter and paths". Then a window showing drive letter will appear with "Add/Change/Remove" options.

Just click "Remove". Then a warning message will appear to confirm.

Click "Yes" and OK.

    Now check your PC for the drive, it should be disappeared. But it will be showing in the management window.
     So to get it back, go to "Change drive letter and paths" again and "Add" a drive letter. There you have the partition back.

           You may wonder why should we do a thing like this because we use a VPN for our own use. Normally as ordinary people actually we use VPNs in many occasions. We don't want to block them.                 The reason for this post to be made is daily appearing questions arise about simple folder/file property changes. Most of you may know all about, but someone may not. So check these facts whether you find something helpful.                    Most of the times i have seen the problems are asked on that someone can't find a file, can't delete, copy or sometimes no permission for a folder etc..
